Learning Objectives
After the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Identify key stakeholders within their social work department who can help develop or enhance risk management education and resources for undergraduate students.
- Establish clear expectations and professional boundaries with students and the organizations that host them in practicum placements to reduce risks related to competence, vicarious liability, and legal action.
- Incorporate a 90-minute virtual risk management mitigation training session into their field placement education by partnering with subject-matter experts.
Course Completion & CE Information
Social workers must attend the entire webinar and complete a course evaluation to receive CE credit.
All states accept ACE providers except New York.
New York does not accept ASWB ACE provider or course/conference approval. Preferra is in the process of applying for approval as a Continuing Education Provider for LMSWs and LCSWs in New York.
Even when a social work board accepts courses offering ASWB ACE credit, licensees are responsible for determining whether courses meet the CE requirements in their jurisdictions. States and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether any individual course may be accepted for credit.
