Telehealth allows professionals to reach individuals with mobility issues, those living in rural or remote areas, or those with long commute times. Professionals using telehealth have reported fewer no-show appointments and improved work-life balance.
However, providing services via telehealth requires social workers to understand and comply with state requirements, their Code of Ethics, the Standards for Technology in Social Work Practice, and HIPAA compliance.
This webinar addressed those areas and shared valuable risk management lessons learned over the past few years. Our instructors reviewed complex case studies illustrating the foundational elements needed for a healthy telehealth practice.
