On Demand Recording
Target Audience: Social Workers
On Tuesday, April 21, 2026 we hosted a 90-minute interactive webinar about having a proactive risk management education in field placement.
We are fully aware of the benefits of proactive preparation, which means having a system in place when a crisis arises.
When is it appropriate to begin risk management education in social work? Right after graduation? No. Risk management education should start at the very beginning of a student’s educational journey.
This 90-minute, live, interactive webinar will provide actionable information and guidance that you can implement immediately in your current practice setting.
If you don’t have an online profile with us, please create one to access registration, materials, and resources. (See the Sign Up button in this page's "Getting Started" section.)

Learning Objectives
After the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Make an educated decision about having a social media presence by weighing the benefits and risks for their career development and long-term business plan.
- Develop or revised their social media policy to share with clients, explaining the rationale behind their social media presence and outlining protocols for their therapist-patient relationship.
- Create and implement a periodic audit of their social media presence to evaluate its ethical use and emphasize the importance of staying current with platform usage knowledge.
