This webinar will provide social work professionals with the information they need to understand the most important concepts related to practicing across state lines, including the latest updates on the Compact.

Learning Objectives
After the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Make informed decisions about their capacity and competence to practice across state lines in accordance with the Code of Ethics.
- Develop a protocol to monitor licensing requirements in the states where they are licensed.
- Identify the most reliable sources for obtaining updates on the Social Work Multistate Compact and recognize which sources should be avoided.
Course Completion & CE Information
Social workers must attend the entire webinar and complete a course evaluation to receive CE credit.
All states accept ACE providers except New York.
New York does not accept ASWB ACE provider or course/conference approval. Preferra is in the process of applying for approval as a Continuing Education Provider for LMSWs and LCSWs in New York.
Even when a social work board accepts courses offering ASWB ACE credit, licensees are responsible for determining whether courses meet the CE requirements in their jurisdictions. States and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether any individual course may be accepted for credit.
