Learning Objectives
- Identify, understand, and apply the social work code of ethics related to professional boundaries, making it a critical component of your professional protocols.
- Develop and implement (or review, if already in place) your own professional boundaries protocol —independent of your practice setting — including a schedule for biannual revisions and evaluations.
- Create and use a weekly checklist to evaluate your performance in maintaining healthy and professional boundaries, while identifying any potential client.
Course Completion & CE Information
Social workers must attend the entire webinar and complete a course evaluation to receive CE credit.
All states accept ACE providers except New York.
New York does not accept ASWB ACE provider or course/conference approval. Preferra is already in the process of applying for approval as a Continuing Education Provider for LMSWs and LCSWs in New York. We anticipate receiving approval early in the second half of 2025.
Even when a social work board accepts courses offering ASWB ACE credit, licensees are responsible for determining whether courses meet the CE requirements in their jurisdictions. States and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether any individual course may be accepted for credit.
